Movie night is a regular event at my house. My husband loves going to the movies so when the pandemic hit that was one of the activities he missed most. We had just moved into our first home so we quickly decided to make part of our finished basement into a theater space. It has grown over the years and now includes an old fashioned popcorn maker and an Icee machine.
I wanted to make movie night extra special for his birthday this year so I whipped up a board full of candy and popcorn to add to the fun and festivities.

I had done a popcorn bar for a party earlier this year so I had several bags of flavored popcorn and we always keep candy on hand in our concession stand.
I thought it looked so pretty all put together on a board and it took almost no time at all. I used these white bowls to hold all the different kinds of popcorn.

The chocolatey candies are my guilty pleasure and all the sweet and sour are his favorite. 🍫🍬🍭

My pups are also MAJOR popcorn lovers so this one was underfoot the whole time I was assembling the board, hoping I would drop a piece.

When I’m not putting together a board, all our popcorn and candy stays in these awesome Oxo Pop containers. It keeps it all fresh so that we can take our time eating all the snacks 🍿
