Hello mama’s and mama’s-to-be. Let’s talk free baby stuff!
I’m nearing the end of my 2nd pregnancy and I decided this time around I’m taking advantage of ALL the free samples and products. The easiest way to do this seemed to be setting up baby registries with companies that have good welcome boxes. In my first pregnancy I only used an Amazon baby registry but when I looked into it this time around it seemed the most popular / best rated boxes also included Target and Babylist. Each of these boxes does take a bit of work to get (and I know how valuable time is when you are pregnant, especially when you already have another little one at home) so I decided to share all that is included in these boxes so you can decide for yourself if it’s something you want to spend your energy doing.
Here are all the details on the Amazon Welcome Box-
Like all other registry boxes, they say the specific items in the box change regularly, but typically include products like onesies, bottles, swaddles, lotions/creams, diapers/wipes, and pacifiers.
To receive the Amazon registry you have to:
- Sign up for Amazon Prime (or already have an active subscription)
- Add 10 items to your baby registry
- Purchase $10 worth of items from your registry (this can be done by you or anyone you share your registry with)
- Click the “Claim Now” button on your registry page
Here’s everything that I received in my box:
Bottles

- MAM Anti-Colic 4.5 oz bottle & newborn pacifier
- Dr. Brown’s anti-colic 4 oz bottle
Clothes / Swaddle

- Amazon Essentials onesie size 3-6 month
- Amazing Baby muslin swaddle
Samples of:

- CeraVe moisturizing lotion
- Nivea peach chapstick
- Lansinoh disposable nursing pads & milks storage bags
Overall this was the box I was least impressed with. The two bottles were the most useful part of the box but everything else just fell flat and it seemed like much less stuff compared to the other two boxes I received. I will say I remember the Amazon Welcome box I received in my first pregnancy to be much better. I can’t remember exactly what was in it but there were at least two bottles, a onesie, bib, pacifier, and a velcro swaddle that was the real MVP. So I’m guessing the boxes just vary drastically. Since it’s such a low amount of $$ you have to spend to get the free box I do think it’s still worth the little bit of work to get it if you already have a Prime membership.
