Okay for me the most important thing about a party is the food! I had so much fun planning this spread. I can’t help but go all out for Halloween, and this is especially true when it comes to creepy and gory food options. I used my island to hold most of the big foods and just lined it with a simple Halloween cloth.

This cheese tray featured a severed hand I made out of mozzarella for the arm and a mix of goat cheese and cream cheese for the fingers, all covered by prosciutto *flesh*. I Focused on dark fruit for the board, including dark purple grapes and blueberries. I used a bat cookie cutter to hollow out a round of brie and filled it with a blackberry jam. I used the bat shaped brie on the board as well. I also included a sliced apple and loosely folded salami roses.

💀 For a heartier bite, I made these pizza skulls which were a huge hit! I’ve made them with pepperoni previous years but chose to stick with veggies (green bell pepper and onion) so that any vegetarians (aka my husband) could eat them as well. They’re really easy to make, you just need a pizza skull tray. I use pre-made pizza dough, lay it out in the skulls, fill with toppings, cheese, and a small amount of pizza sauce and then fold up the back so that it’s completely pinched shut.

For these pizza witch fingers I use a standard pretzel recipe and just leave off the egg wash to make it vegan. I make this and all of my doughs in my bread maker because it saves so much time and clean up! The finger nail in these is made with an almond that I add to the dough before boiling and baking.

This is my gluten free food option for guests. I used a gluten free & vegan pasta, boiled it in a pot with black food coloring added, and then toss it with olive oil and sun-dried tomatoes. Those give the appearance of a roach in the pasta. I served them in individual mini bowls with mini forks so that all of the food was easy to grab and go.

I also wanted to keep it themed with the fruit & desserts. 🎃 I took peeled clementines and stuck a slice of celery in the middle along with a few herb leaves to resemble little pumpkins. It took a while to peel them all in advance but was well worth it!

These shortbread bites are based off of my favorite shortbread recipe, but instead of adding chocolate chips I mix in Halloween colored sprinkles and cut them into smaller bite sized pieces before baking. They are beyond delicious!

I also included hummus and veggies but cut the carrot down to make it a pumpkin shape to keep it festive 🎃
I hope you like some of these ideas and can apply them to your next Halloween party! Let me know in the comments if you give anything a try or have any questions!
