The Ultimate Halloween Bar

It’s officially spooky season! I always eagerly await October 1st so that my love of Halloween can come fully out in the open. Don’t get me wrong- I’ve been preparing for Halloween for weeks already but I try and reign it in publicly until October hits.

I throw a big Halloween party every year and am always looking to one up myself. The bar is one of the things I really like to spend my time on. A few years ago I had friends over and we taste tested all night until we found the perfect Halloween drinks to serve. Those same recipes have held up for several years now and are listed down below.

When it comes to serving the drinks, I like to set up a fun bar in my basement. I decorate it with Halloween lights and decor on the shelves above. I just mix that all in with my existing bar glasses and liquor bottles.

I make two big pitcher drinks, the first I call Bat’s Brew. I tried a few different recipes and tweaked them until I found something I liked. It’s fruity and goes down way too easy!

Simply combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and there you go!

I make sure to stock the bar with fun and festive glasses. They are all thrifted or from the dollar store so that it’s no big deal if something happens and they end up getting broken or chipped.

The second punch is Blood Sangria which is great for any wine lovers.

Lastly, we make up these little test tubes with shot mixtures. There are 3 different kinds.

  • 1) A combination of rum and pineapple juice.
  • 2) A mixture of Malibu and sprite with a sour patch kid dropped in.
  • 3) A layered (candy corn) shot with grenadine, orange, and tequila.

I love all of this bar set up but the shots have got to be my favorite 🧪 They’re just so fun & mad scientist-y.

I hope this inspires your next Halloween party! 🎃 Drop a comment with your favorite spooky drink & maybe I’ll add it to my menu this year 💀
